Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to writing history that is deeply researched, socially engaged, and accessible. Whether exploring the Cold War, East German football, or the political meaning of cinema, I focus on the human experiences that define the past and still resonate today.

I was born in Canada, grew up in the UK but have been living in Toronto for the last 25 years.
